Yuhan Hu is the Founder of Tailcloset, a pet clothing brand born out of something pretty simple: love for two animals who couldn't speak up for themselves.
Yuhan grew up with a soft spot for animals — the kind of kid who'd bring home every stray she came across. That love never really went away. As an adult, she welcomed a dog and a cat into her life, and they quickly became family in every sense of the word. Dressing them for cold mornings, rainy walks, or just for fun became one of her favorite little rituals.
But it didn't take long to notice the problem. Clothes that looked adorable online would arrive stiff, mismeasured, or clearly not made with a real, moving pet in mind. Other pieces fit fine but felt like an afterthought — dull colors, scratchy fabric, nothing that felt like it was made with any real care. Watching her own dog tug uncomfortably at a sleeve or her cat wriggle out of something too tight, Yuhan kept thinking the same thing: they deserved better than this.
That frustration is what became Tailcloset. Not a big five-year plan — just a genuine wish to make something her own pets would actually be comfortable wearing, and that other pet owners would feel the same relief putting on their own dogs and cats.
That's still what drives every decision here. Before anything ships, the question is always the same one Yuhan asked at the very beginning: would this be comfortable enough, and good enough, for the pet I love?
